This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to eligible products and services purchased directly from E-Class, the digital education initiative of Sundaram Multi Pap Limited, through www.e-class.in or other authorised E-Class sales channels.

Because many E-Class products consist of digital educational content, software access, licences, subscriptions, activation codes or downloadable/offline educational material, different cancellation and refund conditions may apply compared with ordinary physical goods.

Please read this Policy before completing your purchase.

Nothing in this Policy limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Indian law.

  1. DIGITAL PRODUCTS — GENERAL POLICY

Unless otherwise required by applicable law, purchases of digital E-Class products are ordinarily final once digital access has been activated, credentials have been issued, content has been accessed, or a licence/activation code has been used.

This is because access to the educational content is provided immediately or becomes available for use after activation.

A refund will ordinarily not be provided merely because:

  • The customer changes their mind
  • The student no longer wishes to use the product
  • The customer purchased the wrong grade, subject or language without checking the product information
  • The customer did not use the product after activation
  • The customer’s examination, school or study plans changed
  • The customer expected a particular academic result
  • The customer’s device or internet connection does not meet clearly stated technical requirements
  • The customer found another educational product they prefer

This does not affect remedies available where required under applicable law.

  1. CANCELLATION BEFORE ACTIVATION

Where technically and operationally possible, a customer may request cancellation before:

  • Digital access has been activated
  • Login credentials have been issued or used
  • An activation code has been redeemed
  • Digital content has been downloaded or accessed
  • A physical product has been dispatched
  • Implementation work has commenced

Cancellation requests will be reviewed based on the nature and status of the order.

Submitting a cancellation request does not automatically guarantee cancellation.

  1. DUPLICATE PAYMENT

If the same transaction has genuinely been charged more than once, please contact us with:

  • Customer name
  • Registered mobile number
  • Registered email address
  • Order number
  • Transaction reference
  • Payment proof

Once verified, the duplicate amount received by E-Class will be refunded through an appropriate payment method.

  1. PAYMENT DEBITED BUT ORDER NOT CONFIRMED

If your bank account is debited but your E-Class order is not confirmed, please first check whether the transaction has automatically reversed.

Payment gateways and banks may automatically reverse unsuccessful transactions.

If E-Class has received the payment but the order has not been created, please contact us with the transaction details.

After verification, we may either:

  • Activate/complete the order, or
  • Process an applicable refund.
  1. WRONG PRODUCT PROVIDED BY E-CLASS

If E-Class provides a materially different digital product from the product ordered—for example, the wrong grade, language or subscription—the customer should notify us promptly.

After verification, E-Class may provide the correct product or another appropriate remedy.

  1. TECHNICAL DEFECTS

If a purchased digital product cannot reasonably be accessed because of a technical defect attributable to E-Class, please contact our support team.

We will first attempt to resolve the issue through measures such as:

  • Technical troubleshooting
  • Re-activation
  • Credential reset
  • Software correction
  • Replacement access
  • Updated application/software
  • Alternative authorised delivery method

Where the service remains materially defective or deficient and cannot reasonably be corrected, an appropriate remedy will be provided in accordance with applicable law.

  1. CONTENT-RELATED ISSUES

Minor:

  • Typographical errors
  • Formatting differences
  • Visual variations
  • Minor translation issues
  • Changes in chapter sequencing
  • Updates to educational content

will not ordinarily entitle a customer to a full refund where the core product remains usable.

However, genuine errors reported to us will be reviewed and may be corrected through content updates where appropriate.

If the supplied product is materially different from the advertised or agreed educational product, the matter will be reviewed and an appropriate remedy provided in accordance with applicable law.

  1. CURRICULUM CHANGES

School curricula, textbooks and examination patterns may be revised by education authorities.

E-Class may update educational content from time to time in response to such changes.

A subsequent change in curriculum or textbook after purchase does not automatically make a previous purchase refundable.

Where updates are included within the applicable product or subscription, they may be provided according to the relevant product terms.

  1. ACADEMIC RESULTS

E-Class does not guarantee:

  • Examination marks
  • Grades
  • Rankings
  • Admissions
  • Pass percentages
  • Academic performance

Refunds will not be provided solely because a student did not achieve a particular academic result.

E-Class is a supplementary learning resource; academic performance depends on multiple factors.

  1. PHYSICAL PRODUCTS

Where an E-Class purchase includes physical products, storage devices or learning materials, customers should inspect the package after delivery.

If the product is:

  • Damaged in transit
  • Incorrect
  • Materially defective
  • Missing from the shipment

please contact E-Class promptly with appropriate evidence, including photographs where reasonably required.

Depending upon the circumstances, E-Class may provide:

  • Replacement
  • Correction
  • Missing item
  • Repair where applicable
  • Refund where required or otherwise approved
  1. HARDWARE

Hardware supplied as part of a digital classroom or institutional solution may be subject to the warranty terms of the applicable manufacturer.

Hardware problems may therefore be handled through:

  • Manufacturer warranty
  • Authorised service centre
  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Project-specific support

as applicable.

A hardware fault does not automatically entitle the customer to a refund of unrelated E-Class educational content or services.

  1. SCHOOL, GOVERNMENT, CSR & INSTITUTIONAL PROJECTS

This Website Refund Policy does not replace the commercial terms of separately executed:

  • Proposals
  • Purchase orders
  • Work orders
  • Tenders
  • Government contracts
  • CSR project agreements
  • Institutional agreements
  • Service-level agreements

Cancellation, payment, retention, warranty, liquidated-damages and refund provisions for such projects will be governed by the applicable written contract.

  1. SUBSCRIPTIONS

If an E-Class product is offered as a fixed-term subscription, access will ordinarily continue until the end of the purchased subscription period unless otherwise stated.

Unless expressly offered, subscriptions do not automatically entitle users to a pro-rata refund merely because they stop using the service before the end of the subscription period.

Any recurring-payment facility, if offered, will be subject to the terms disclosed at the time of subscription.

  1. REFUND PROCESS

Where a refund is approved, it will ordinarily be processed through the original payment method or another appropriate method permitted by our payment system.

The time taken for the amount to appear in the customer’s account may depend upon:

  • Bank
  • Card issuer
  • UPI provider
  • Payment gateway
  • Other payment intermediary

E-Class cannot control processing time after a refund has been successfully initiated with the relevant financial intermediary.

  1. FRAUD & ABUSE

E-Class may investigate and decline discretionary refund requests where there is reasonable evidence of:

  • Fraud
  • Misrepresentation
  • Content piracy
  • Account sharing
  • Abuse of promotional offers
  • Repeated bad-faith refund claims
  • Unauthorised copying or distribution of educational content

This provision does not restrict any mandatory statutory right.
